Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy plant machinery including Excavators, Dozers, Positracks, and Graders safely and efficiently on active work sites
- Complete earthworks tasks to specification, ensuring grade and material placement meet project requirements
- Conduct pre-start checks and routine maintenance on machinery, reporting any faults or issues promptly
- Comply with the company’s Safety Management System and all site-specific safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with site supervisors and fellow operators to maintain smooth workflow and meet project deadlines
- Follow directions accurately and adapt to changing site conditions or task requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall site safety and efficiency
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of five years of experience operating plant machinery such as Excavators, Dozers, Positracks, or Graders in an earthworks context. A current NSW Drivers Licence is required, with a truck licence viewed favourably but not essential. You must hold a valid NSW OH and S White Card and a current VOC for the machinery you operate. Demonstrated past experience in earthworks is non-negotiable we need operators who understand cut and fill, final trim, and working to survey pegs. You must be a reliable team player who can follow instructions and work safely. Passing a pre-employment medical is a condition of employment.
