Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company collection vehicles and equipment throughout the Townsville area
- Perform Bin Runner duties when required, supporting efficient waste and recycling collection
- Deliver loads to nominated recycling and disposal facilities, following all site protocols
- Conduct daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment
- Interact with clients professionally during loading and unloading activities
- Ensure safe loading and unloading practices are followed at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must hold a current HR Licence this is essential. A reasonable level of fitness is required, as the role involves physical tasks and early starts. You need a strong work ethic and a genuine commitment to safety above all else. Self-motivation is key, as you will often work independently once on the road. Mechanical aptitude is valued, as you will be responsible for pre-start checks and identifying potential issues early. Good customer service skills are also important, given the client interaction involved in loading and unloading.
