Corowa Court is a contemporary residential aged care home located in Mornington, right on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating laundry equipment: You’ll use commercial washers and dryers, making sure you understand the right settings and washing instructions for different items.
- Following cleaning methods: You’ll know how to handle different fabrics and stains, keeping everything looking its best.
- Tailoring service to residents: Some residents have specific needs or preferences, and you’ll be responsive to those individual requests.
- Using resources efficiently: You’ll make sure laundry materials aren’t wasted and that everything is used responsibly.
- Maintaining high standards: Every piece of linen and clothing that leaves the laundry should be clean, fresh, and properly presented.
- Working safely: You’ll follow Occupational Health and Safety requirements and infection control standards every shift.
- Being aware of regulations: You’ll understand the legislative requirements that apply to your role and work within them.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working with older people in a residential or comparable setting—this is desirable but not essential.
- A positive, courteous approach and genuine client-focused behaviour.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently without rushing.
- Understanding of infection control and hygiene standards in a care environment.
- The ability to work independently when needed and also collaborate as part of a team.
- Knowledge of laundry equipment, washing instructions, and proper cleaning methods.
