Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Class 5 trucks safely and efficiently for metro work and long haul operations across the North Island.
  • Collect scrap metal from suppliers and deliver finished copper based ingot products to customers.
  • Perform daily pre trip and post trip vehicle inspections to ensure all equipment is in safe working condition.
  • Load and unload materials using hiab and other equipment as required, ensuring loads are secure and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate driving logs, delivery records, and documentation for all trips.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with suppliers and customers, representing the company with professionalism and reliability.

Qualifications

A clean, current New Zealand Class 5 driver’s licence is required. D and F endorsements, hiab experience, and gantry truck experience would be advantageous, though training is available for the right candidate. A clean Ministry of Justice check is required, and candidates must be able to pass a pre employment drug and medical test.
