 Key Responsibilities

As a Walmart Driver, you are a professional entrusted with significant responsibility. Your role is about precision, safety, and reliability:

  • Plan your day and prioritize tasks to keep freight moving safely and on schedule.
  • Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer, performing thorough pre-, during, and post-trip inspections.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork and maintain electronic logs in compliance with DOT, state, and company regulations.
  • Follow optimized routes and all traffic laws to ensure efficient and on-time deliveries.
  • Uphold Walmart’s unwavering standards for safety, vehicle condition, and professional conduct every single mile.

Qualifications

To join our team of elite drivers, you must meet these stringent safety and experience standards:

  • A valid Interstate (Class A) Commercial Driver’s License.
  • A Hazmat endorsement, or the ability to obtain it (with a cleared background check) within 120 days of hire.
  • A minimum of 30 months (2.5 years) of full-time Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
  • An excellent driving record: No more than two moving violations and no serious traffic violations in the last 3 years. No preventable accidents in the last 3 years, and no preventable DOT recordable accidents in the last 10 years.
  • Must live or be willing to establish a residence within 250 miles of the assigned facility (Saint James, MO) within 90 days of hire.
