Key Responsibilities

As a Laundry Assistant, you will ensure our residents’ linens and clothing are cared for with the utmost attention. Your daily tasks will include:

• Operating washers and dryers, pre-treating and soaking items according to established health and safety policies.
• Sorting, folding, and organizing clean laundry by resident identification and type, placing items into correct storage bins.
• Performing minor repairs on torn articles, ironing as needed, and maintaining laundry equipment.
• Carefully following all infection control procedures and handling chemicals according to guidelines.
• Ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient laundry area while completing required documentation and counts.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for a reliable and conscientious team member with:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a laundry, housekeeping, or similar role is preferred, but we are willing to train a dedicated candidate.
• The ability to communicate effectively in English with staff, residents, and families.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, walk, and routinely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong organizational skills, basic computer literacy, and a keen eye for detail.
• A commitment to maintaining a safe, hygienic, and respectful work environment.
