Key Responsibilities

You will be on the front line of our asphalt operations, responsible for the quality and efficiency of the final product.

• Perform skilled asphalt laying, levelling, and compacting work to exact project specifications, ensuring a high-quality and durable finish.
• Operate and maintain asphalt-laying equipment and hand tools safely and effectively on-site.
• Read and interpret job plans and specifications, and collaborate with the crew to ensure the project is executed correctly.
• Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols, including understanding and following Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) at all times.
• Work flexibly as part of a team, adapting to project needs which may include overtime, night shifts, and travel to various sites.

Qualifications

We are looking for a reliable tradesperson with the right tickets, attitude, and experience.

• A minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in asphalt laying or a closely related civil construction field is essential.
• A valid Construction Induction Card (White Card) is mandatory.
• A current driver’s licence is required; an HR (Heavy Rigid) licence is a significant advantage but not essential.
• A strong, practical understanding of workplace safety, particularly in following Safe Work Method Statements.
• A proven commitment to quality, excellent attention to detail, and the flexibility to work various shifts and travel as needed for project completion.
