We’re looking for a Laundry Assistant to join the team at the Forrest Hotel in Forrest ACT 2603. This is a casual position, but it’s an important one you’ll be the person making sure our linens are fresh, clean, and ready for guests every single day. What You’ll Be Doing Day to Day
- Collecting and sorting linens: You’ll gather soiled towels and linens from guest rooms and other areas, then sort them properly for washing.
- Operating laundry equipment: You’ll load and run commercial washers and dryers, making sure everything comes out clean and ready to use.
- Folding and storing linens: Once things are dry, you’ll fold them neatly and store them in the right places so housekeeping can grab what they need.
- Distributing clean linens: You’ll help get fresh linens back to guest rooms and other areas around the hotel.
- You’ll maintain a clean, tidy workspace and make sure everything is where it should be.
- Reporting issues: If equipment acts up or supplies run low, you’ll let the Housekeeping Supervisor know so it gets handled quickly.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or commercial laundry environment—you know how things work and what’s expected.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently without cutting corners.
- Good physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the role—you’ll be on your feet, lifting and moving throughout your shift.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to stay calm and focused when things get busy.
