Key Responsibilitie
In this essential operational role, you will be a key player in our daily logistics. Your duties will ensure our warehouse runs smoothly and safely:
- Safely operating crown counterbalance forklifts for all picking, packing, loading, and unloading tasks.
- Manually handling inventory, including 25kg bags, requiring good physical fitness.
- Accurately administering batch tracking, traceability systems (FIFO), and CHEP pallet control.
- Performing inventory control procedures such as receiving goods, conducting stock counts, and optimizing warehouse space.
- Loading shipping containers using slip sheets and maintaining all warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Undertaking Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) activities, including cleaning and pest control, to ensure a clean, safe working environment.
- Communicating and cooperating effectively with supervisors and team members, adapting to changing priorities as needed.
Qualifications
We are looking for a dependable individual with the right foundation. You will need:
- A current Forklift Licence and a valid car driver’s licence.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on warehousing experience, preferably within food manufacturing or distribution.
- Punctuality, reliability, and a proven ability to work effectively both unsupervised and as part of a small, collaborative team.
- The physical fitness to handle manual tasks and the flexibility to work a rotating roster, including early morning (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) and afternoon shifts (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM).
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Permanent Australian work rights and a willingness to undergo pre-employment checks.
