Key Responsibilities
- Check the lorry every day to make sure it’s safe and ready to drive
- Drive and deliver materials like sand and soil to construction sites
- Pick up and drop off goods on time, following the set schedule
- Load and unload items safely at each job site
- Do simple maintenance tasks to keep the vehicle in good shape
- Follow all traffic rules and safety rules on the road and at work sites
- Report any problems with the vehicle to your supervisor right away
- Help with other tasks when asked by your supervisor
Requirements
- Must-Have Skills
- Class 4 driving license (needed for driving large lorries)
- Good driving record with safe driving habits
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items
- Basic knowledge of how to check and care for a vehicle
- Can follow traffic laws and safety rules
- Good time management to meet delivery schedules
- Friendly and polite when talking to site workers or clients
- Able to work on weekdays and some Saturdays
- Preferred Skills
- Class 3 license is a plus
- Experience driving to and from construction sites
- Understanding of how to handle building materials like sand and soil
