Location & Work Type

• Location: Rolleston, Canterbury, New Zealand – a growing area with great local businesses and community
• Job type: Full-time, permanent
• Shifts: Day shift hours
• Schedules: Monday–Friday
• Salary type: Hourly pay

Key Responsibilities

• Read and understand fabrication drawings and plans
• Build and shape stainless steel parts for different projects
• Weld and join pieces with care and accuracy
• Polish and finish stainless steel to a high standard
• Help with installing finished products at different sites
• Keep records and reports up to date, both written and digital
• Check tools and machines to make sure they’re working safely
• Talk with team members to solve problems and share updates
• Follow all health and safety rules while working

Requirements

• Must-Have Skills
• Experience working as a stainless steel fabricator
• Good welding skills and confidence using welding tools
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and plans
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on doing quality work
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Must care about safety and follow safety rules at all times
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Physically fit and ready for hands-on work

• Preferred Skills
• Experience doing on-site installations
• Knowledge of using technical machines and tools
• Comfortable keeping records on paper and computer
• Positive attitude and quick to learn new tasks
• Training can be provided for some tools or systems if needed
