Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a Class 4 vehicle to transport freight to various destinations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods
- Conduct pre trip and post trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations for timely and accurate delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries including receipts, invoices, and delivery confirmations

Qualifications
You must hold a valid full Class 4 driver’s licence with a clean driving record. A current forklift licence is also essential. Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws is required. Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects are necessary because you will be in and out of the vehicle delivering freight. Exceptional time management and organisational skills are expected. You need excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is critical. Flexibility with hours is important because shifts generally run Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, but may vary occasionally based on freight volumes.
