Key Responsibilities
- Operate motor graders to spread, level, and shape materials like dirt, gravel, and stone.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate grading.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, inspect machinery, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Operate the machine safely and ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Communicate and coordinate with project managers, team members, and subcontractors to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Maintain records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
- Represent Bonness Inc. professionally on job sites and during all stakeholder interactions.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience operating graders or similar machinery.
- Proficiency in operating motor graders and understanding construction blueprints.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery for extended periods and perform physical tasks like blade changes.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel to various job sites throughout Southwest Florida.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to safely access heavy equipment and work zones.
- Noise exposure ranges from moderate to high (traffic and machinery).
