Family in Hamilton, Ontario (L8S 4C2) is looking for a caring and reliable nanny. This is a full-time permanent position and working hours are between 30 to 40 hours per week. Pay is $17.20 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience. The role is to help care for children facilitate morning routines, school prep, support them with maintaining meals etc and general well being. This is an entry-level position for which a minimum of one year of related experience is desired, good communication skills, and the ability to to create a safe, engaging environment for children.

• Help children get ready for the day, including bathing and dressing
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks based on daily routines
• Support hygiene habits and teach social skills
• Keep notes on children’s daily routines and health updates
• Plan activities like games, creative time, or park visits
• Take children to school, appointments, or group activities
• Make sure the home environment remains safe and tidy
• Supervise during rest or nap times
• Provide emotional support and guidance
• Assist with homework or school tasks when needed
• Follow family preferences around discipline and structure
• Encourage learning through play and everyday moments
• Communicate clearly with parents when needed
• Handle light physical tasks (lifting up to 20 lbs) when caring for young children

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Completion of high school (secondary school diploma)

Experience

• At least 1  year of related childcare experience
• Familiarity with routines and developmental needs of children

Applicant Location
