Godsey Supply Co. in Bristol is seeking a Yard Worker/Driver to join our family-owned team. You’ll be unloading lumber and building products, loading customer vehicles, making deliveries, and keeping the yard organised. What You’ll Be Doing

Assist Customers Courteously: Whether someone needs help loading materials or advice on a product, you’ll be there with a friendly attitude and helpful approach.
Unload Lumber and Building Products: You’ll unload incoming materials using a forklift or by hand, making sure everything is placed in the right spot.
Verify Deliveries: Check that materials received match the order and record them properly. Accuracy matters.
Load Customer Vehicles: Safely and carefully load materials into customer trucks and trailers, making sure nothing gets damaged.
Make Deliveries: Drive delivery vehicles to job sites or homes, unloading materials by hand or using the dump bed as needed.
Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Keep an eye out for hazards and follow safety procedures. Everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.
Stock and Protect Inventory: Keep the yard and warehouses organised, stocked, and secure. Inventory needs to be counted and cared for.
Keep Things Clean and Orderly: A tidy yard is a safe, efficient yard. You’ll help maintain that standard.
Work as a Team: Meet company goals together, support your teammates, and pitch in where needed.
Follow Company Policies: Adhere to all policies and procedures they’re there for a reason.

What We’re Looking For

Valid Driver’s License: Required. You’ll be driving delivery vehicles.
Experience with Delivery Vehicles and Forklifts: You’re comfortable operating both. If you need a refresher, we can help, but experience is preferred.
Building Material Knowledge: Familiarity with lumber and building products is a plus.
Lumber Yard Experience Preferred: If you’ve worked in a lumber yard before, that’s ideal. But we’re willing to train the right candidate.
Physically Capable: You need to be able to lift 70 pounds regularly, and stoop, climb, bend, push, and kneel as the job requires.
Comfortable Outdoors: This role works outside in all weather. You need to be okay with that.
Clear Communication: You’ll talk to customers and team members every day. Being able to communicate clearly and effectively is essential.
Strong Attention to Detail: Orders need to be right. Deliveries need to match. You notice when something doesn’t add up.
Team-Oriented: We work together. Being easy to get along with and willing to help out matters.
Adaptable and Flexible: Responsibilities can shift day to day. You’re comfortable with that.
Strong Work Ethic: You show up on time, work hard, and take pride in what you do.

Pay and Benefits

Hourly Pay: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, depending on experience
Overtime: May be expected to work overtime during the week
Benefits: Paid time off ,Life insurance
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday
