Key Responsibilities
You will be on the front line, ensuring our rural roadsides are clean, safe, and presentable.
- Conduct scheduled litter collection along designated rural roads in West and North Auckland, removing loose litter, illegally dumped items, and roadkill.
- Work as part of a close-knit team during monthly travel stints, spending one week at a time working on rural roads north of Auckland.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols while working near live traffic and handling various types of waste.
- Utilise provided technology, such as smartphones and reporting systems, to log work and communicate with the team.
- Maintain a positive, safety-first attitude while performing this physically demanding but essential community service.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious individual who meets the practical requirements of the role.
- A full driver’s licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle is essential.
- Excellent physical fitness and the ability to handle demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- A strong awareness of health and safety and a commitment to following all company policies and procedures.
- Comfort using basic technology (smartphones, apps) for work purposes.
- Self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing and able to travel monthly for one-week periods, staying away from home.
- Previous experience in a similar role is ideal but not essential.
