Here’s a great opportunity for an experienced Industrial Electrician who’s up for travel and enjoys hands-on work. This full-time job is with Heat and Control Inc, a company that builds and installs food processing gear. You’d be working across Australia, New Zealand, and sometimes overseas, helping set up systems, wiring them up, and getting them running. The role is remote, but the catch is — you’ll need to be ready to travel when jobs come up. Some projects are local, others take you abroad. You’ll be working with PLCs (mostly Siemens or Allen-Bradley), motors, control panels, and a bit of everything in between. If you’re someone who’s got your license sorted and knows how to sort out tricky electrical problems on-site, this one’s for you.
Responsibilities
- Help install and connect large-scale food processing equipment.
- Commission and test machines before hand-off to the client.
- Run cabling, wire panels, check motor controls and sensors.
- Troubleshoot on-site if something’s not working right.
- Write up quick reports after each job.
- Support customers with training when needed.
- Travel when jobs are scheduled — both local and overseas.
