Responsibilities

• Wipe down beds, walls, windows, and counters
• Mop or sweep floors depending on the area
• Replace linens and help prepare rooms between patients
• Take out garbage, including medical waste
• Clean public bathrooms and staff spaces
• Handle small spills or messes quickly
• Use basic cleaning machines (vacuum, floor buffer, etc.)
• Keep carts and closets tidy with supplies stocked
• Communicate with nurses or supervisors when needed
• Restock paper towels, soap, and other supplies in washrooms
• Follow health and safety rules closely
• Work from checklists and stick to cleaning schedules
• Report any damage or unsafe areas to your lead
• Help keep shared spaces like hallways clean and hazard-free
• Take part in infection control efforts when needed

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Minimum of Grade 10 or similar schooling.

Experience

• No hospital experience is required
• If you’ve done cleaning in hotels, schools, or office buildings, that helps
