A cleaning position is vacant at the West Red Lake Gold Project in Madsen, Ontario. This is a full-time, site-based employment that covers travel, food, and housing. You’ll be working in a rural camp area and helping to maintain the cleanliness of dorms, guest rooms, and communal spaces. Remote Camp Housekeeper – West Red Lake Gold Project

Responsibilities

• Go through assigned rooms and dorms daily and clean what’s needed.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and wipe down surfaces across dorms and common areas.
• Make beds, change linens, and get rooms ready for new guests.
• Keep hallways and laundry areas clean, including touchpoints and door handles.
• Report maintenance problems or safety hazards if you come across any.
• Restock cleaning supplies and stay organized on the housekeeping cart.
• Collect dirty laundry and return clean towels and linens to rooms.
• Help with waste removal and keeping bins emptied and clean.
• Follow all company cleaning procedures and safety steps on every shift.
• Work closely with the housekeeping lead and listen to site instructions.
• Be on time for shift changes and handover tasks at end of day.
• Keep yourself and your work area clean and professional.
• Take pride in keeping the dorms clean for the crew living on-site.
• Respect guest privacy and act with discretion.
• Be ready to help other teammates if the workload changes suddenly.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

No formal education needed.

Experience

• Experience in hotel, lodge, or remote camp cleaning is helpful.
• 1 year of commercial or institutional housekeeping is preferred.
• Experience in a remote or rotational setup is an asset.

Skills

• Comfortable with physical work like bending, lifting, and walking long hallways.
• Can manage time and complete tasks without someone watching every step.
• Pays attention to details — knows when something looks off or unfinished.
• Can communicate clearly and work alongside others respectfully.
