Location & Work Type

• Location: Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand – a beautiful coastal city known for its beaches and warm climate
• Job type: Casual
• Schedules: Rostered shifts, including weekdays and weekends
• Salary type: Hourly

Key Responsibilities

• Clean residents’ rooms and shared spaces like hallways and lounges
• Wash, dry, fold, and store laundry and linens properly
• Make sure all areas are safe, clean, and free from hazards
• Use cleaning products safely and follow instructions for handling chemicals
• Help keep the home smelling fresh and looking tidy every day
• Work with other team members to finish tasks on time
• Report any broken items or safety problems to the right person
• Be kind and respectful to residents while doing your job

Requirements

• Must-Have Skills
• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning jobs
• Good at handling cleaning products and chemicals safely
• Able to work well with others and follow instructions
• A friendly attitude and respect for older people
• Good attention to detail and takes pride in neat work
• Able to work rostered shifts, including weekends
• Has the legal right to work in New Zealand

• Preferred Skills
• Experience working in aged care or healthcare settings
• Strong communication skills to talk with team members and residents
• Knows how to spot and report safety issues quickly
• Training in safe cleaning or infection control (helpful but can be taught)
