Key Responsibilities
This is a unique, year-round role split into two seasons:
Lawn Care Season (Jan-Nov):
- Apply government-approved fertilizers and weed control products to customer lawns from Monday to Friday (7 AM – 4 PM), with mandatory Saturdays in peak months.
- Provide excellent customer service, analyze lawns, and make improvement recommendations.
- Generate additional sales by speaking with neighbours.
- Maintain your assigned truck and equipment, and complete accurate paperwork.
Marketing Season (Nov-Jan):
- Join our promotion team to generate leads in residential neighbourhoods (Mon-Fri, 9 AM – 5 PM).
- Introduce Weed Man services to homeowners and invite them to receive a free, no-obligation quote no selling required.
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for motivated individuals with a great attitude. You will need:
- A valid Class 5, 7, or N Driver’s Licence in good standing.
- The ability to frequently lift 40-50 lbs.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management, organization, and a reliable work ethic.
- Availability to work Saturdays during the peak seasons (May, June, Sept, Oct).
- Comfort travelling to and working from our Courtenay office (2683 Moray Ave).
No prior experience is necessary we provide full training! Backgrounds in landscaping, horticulture, customer service, labour, or sales are beneficial.
