In this full-time role, you will install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment used in food production. Location & Work Type
- Location: Whittingham, New South Wales, Australia
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Shifts: Rotating shifts across all production hours, including some weekend overtime
Key Responsibilities
- As an Electrician at E.C. Throsby, you will help keep all electrical systems and equipment running safely and smoothly in a food processing facility.
- Install and maintain electrical systems and equipment
- Check machines and systems to make sure they are working properly
- Fix electrical problems quickly and safely
- Work on different shifts to cover production needs
- Help other maintenance team members when needed
- Follow all safety rules and workplace procedures
- Use tools and testing equipment to find and solve issues
- Report any problems to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Keep work areas clean and organized
Qualifications/Skills
- Trade qualified Electrician with a current license
- Experience working in a food production or factory setting is a plus
- Able to work different shifts, including some weekends
- Strong skills in fixing electrical problems
- Able to work safely and follow all rules
- Good at working alone and with a team
- Willing to help other maintenance workers when needed
- PLC and SCADA experience is helpful (training can be given)
- EWP, forklift, and working at heights licenses are a bonus
- 4th year Electrical Apprentices may also be considered
Required Experience
- Experience as a licensed Electrician
- Knowledge of electrical systems in industrial or factory settings
- Experience fixing and maintaining machines and equipment
- Ability to read and understand electrical plans and drawings
- Experience working safely around machines and high-voltage areas
- Basic knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems is a plus
- Experience working in a team and helping others
- Comfortable working different shifts and doing weekend work when needed
- Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Able to work without someone watching over you all the time
Compensation & Benefits

- Hourly pay between $40 and $53, based on skills and experience
