Key Responsibilities
The Electrician will work to install, fix, and keep electrical equipment running safely and well in power plants and other energy systems.
- Find and fix electrical problems in devices like transformers, motors, and switches
- Install wires and conduit for new machines and equipment
- Connect cables and wires between machines and devices
- Replace bad wiring and parts such as relays, switches, and motors
- Align and adjust equipment to meet the required standards
- Keep records of repairs, tests, and maintenance work
- Read and follow technical manuals and safety procedures
- Work with team members to test and make sure equipment works properly
- Order repair parts and materials when needed
Qualifications/Skills
- Diploma or Associate Engineering Degree in Electrical Technology
- At least 3 years of experience working in combined cycle power plants or petro-chemical industries
- Good knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and control components
- Ability to read and understand safety rules, operation manuals, and technical documents
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing electrical issues
- Ability to work well both alone and with a team
- Willingness to travel for work, both inside the country and internationally
- Understanding of workplace safety and environmental regulations
Required Experience
- At least 3 years working as an electrician in combined cycle power plants or petro-chemical industries
- Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment
- Skilled in working with gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and motors
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals and safety procedures
- Experience using electrical testing tools like meters and scopes
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards
- Experience working in industrial or energy-related environments
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel as needed
