Key Responsibilities

• Drive tractors and other farming machines safely to help with planting and harvesting.
• Help with watering crops by working on irrigation systems to keep plants healthy.
• Do simple repairs and maintenance on farming equipment to make sure everything works well.
• Plant and care for crops in rows, making sure the fields are organized and growing properly.
• Check farming tools and machines every day to find any problems early and fix them quickly.
• Clean and maintain farm areas to keep the work environment safe and tidy.
• Work with other farm workers to finish daily tasks and meet production goals.
• Follow all safety rules while working on the farm to prevent accidents.

Requirements

• Must Have Skills
• Have experience driving tractors and other farm machines safely.
• Hold a valid “C Class” Driver’s Licence to drive on public roads.
• Be able to communicate well with others and work as part of a team.
• Be able to arrange your own transport to get to the farm and find a place to live nearby.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with row cropping and planting crops in rows.
• Knowledge of irrigation tasks to help water and care for crops.
• Basic skills in fixing and maintaining farming equipment.
• Hold an “HR Class” Driver’s Licence (training will be given if needed).
