Key Responsibilities

You will be entrusted with the safe and timely transport of sensitive healthcare products. Your key duties will include:

• Operating a new refrigerated Hino truck to deliver high-value medicines and vaccines on scheduled routes, maintaining strict temperature control throughout.
• Safely loading and unloading palletised goods, utilizing your experience in handling freight with care and efficiency.
• Conducting thorough pre-start checks of the vehicle and its refrigeration unit, ensuring it is fully operational and compliant.
• Meticulously completing all delivery documentation and chain-of-custody paperwork with accuracy.
• Representing Mediport with the highest degree of professionalism and character at all customer locations, including hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.
• Adhering rigorously to all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and healthcare industry delivery standards.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who combines proven skill with a professional demeanour:

• A valid Class 1 (or higher) New Zealand driver’s licence with a clean record.
• A minimum of 3+ years of truck driving experience, including demonstrated competence in handling palletised goods and operating a larger truck.
• Availability to work 4-5 days per week, with a morning start time between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM.
• A reliable, trustworthy character with exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional presentation.

Preferred Experience (Advantageous but Not Essential):

• Prior experience in refrigerated transport or temperature-controlled logistics.
• Knowledge of, or experience within, the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
