Location and Work Type

  • Work type: On-site
  • Location: Based at the Lethbridge, Alberta facility
  • Travel: Regional driving to farms across Southern Alberta
  • Schedule: Night shifts (Sunday night to Thursday night)

What Will You Do?

Operate Vehicles and Equipment

  • Pick up assigned truck and load forklift at the Lethbridge facility
  • Drive truck and forklift to designated farms across Southern Alberta
  • Use forklift to safely and efficiently load live haul trucks
  • Return both truck and forklift to the Lethbridge site after each shift

Follow Safety and Operational Standards

  • Adhere to National Safety Code regulations for Commercial Motor Vehicles
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Follow all Sunrise Farms safety protocols and policies
  • Maintain clean and organized equipment

Time and Route Management

  • Manage routes and timing independently
  • Plan driving routes to meet nightly deadlines and farm schedules
  • Adjust as needed for delays while maintaining strong communication with the supervisor

Professional Conduct and Accountability

  • Demonstrate a high level of responsibility and initiative
  • Work under minimal supervision, ensuring tasks are completed on time
  • Communicate any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

  • Valid Alberta Class 3 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Class 3 driver
  • Certified forklift operator with experience in loading/unloading cargo
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial Motor Vehicle safety regulations
  • Comfortable working night shifts and outdoors in varying conditions
  • Excellent time management, decision-making, and accountability
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physically fit to operate heavy equipment and perform lifting duties as needed
