- Job type: Full-time, seasonal
- Shifts: 10+ hours per day, overtime after 8 hours/day or 44 hours/week
- Schedules: 6 days on, 1 day off
- Salary type: Hourly
Key Responsibilities
- Run a dozer safely to strip land, dig ditches, and level ground for construction projects.
- Smooth out surfaces and slope areas to help build strong roads and sites.
- Work closely with team members and other equipment to keep projects moving smoothly.
- Follow Sureway’s safety rules to keep everyone safe on the job site.
- Check the dozer daily to make sure it’s ready for work.
- Help clear debris and prepare land for new construction tasks.
- Communicate with supervisors to ensure the site is shaped just right.
Requirements
- Must-Have Skills
- Have a reliable vehicle to get to the job site in Fort McMurray.
- Wear CSA-approved steel-toed boots with 6-inch ankle support for safety.
- Pass a drug and alcohol swab test to ensure a safe workplace.
- Complete Sureway’s company and site-specific orientation to understand the job.
- Show you can work hard, be reliable, and handle physically tough tasks.
- Be flexible with your schedule to meet project needs.
- Preferred Skills
- Have 3 to 5 years of experience running a dozer, especially with finishing work like sloping and leveling.
- Know how to work safely near other equipment and people.
- Training is available if you’re eager to learn and grow in construction.
