What You’ll Be Doing
- Assemble, Install, and Test ACMV Systems: You’ll be hands-on with commercial building projects, installing and testing air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems to ensure they’re working perfectly.
- Construct and Fabricate Parts: Using hand tools and following specifications, you’ll fabricate and assemble components as needed.
- Read and Interpret Blueprints: You’ll work from electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics, making sure installations match the plans.
- Maintain and Repair Electrical Systems: This includes electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems related to ACMV installations.
- Troubleshoot ACMV Issues: When something isn’t working right, you’ll use testing devices to diagnose the problem and carry out repairs.
Job Requirements
- 2 Years of ACMV Experience: You’ve spent at least two years working in the ACMV field or a related industry, and you know your way around commercial installations.
- Knowledge of Building and Fire Safety Codes: You understand the codes that apply to ACMV systems and make sure your work complies.
- Valid Class 3 Driving License: This is required for the role, and there’s an additional allowance for drivers.
- Valid Certificates: You must possess one of the following: core trade certificate, BCSS, or Multi-skill Certificate.
- Work Permit Holders Welcome: This position is open to Construction Work Permit holders with the right experience and qualifications.
Working Hours and Salary
- Working Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Saturday
- Overtime: Daily 2 hours overtime included
- Salary Range: $900 – $1,200 per month (with additional allowance for Class 3 license holders)
