Key Responsibilities
- Drive agitator trucks safely to deliver concrete to different customer sites like homes, buildings, and roads.
- Perform daily checks on the truck before driving to make sure it is safe and working well.
- Manage the concrete slump levels and control how the concrete is poured at the site, following training and instructions.
- Work closely with customers and team members to give good service and solve any delivery issues.
- Complete all paperwork and documents needed for each delivery, such as delivery notes and collection records.
- Communicate clearly with the production and allocation staff to share information about deliveries and any problems on the job.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures to keep yourself and others safe on the road and at the work sites.
- Keep the truck clean and report any problems or needed repairs to help the team maintain the vehicle.
Requirements
- Must Have Skills
- Hold a current HR driver’s licence and have experience driving heavy vehicles.
- Have a current white card or be willing to get one before starting work.
- Be able to learn and follow instructions for safe driving and concrete delivery.
- Be careful and pay attention to safety rules when driving and working on sites.
- Be ready to work full-time and do overtime when needed.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in the concrete industry is helpful but not required because full training is provided.
- Experience driving agitator trucks or working in construction materials is a plus.
