Key Responsibilities
In this important role, you will be responsible for the afternoon cleaning and presentation of school facilities. Your duties will include:
- Performing general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising classrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Cleaning and restocking student and staff bathrooms to ensure they are hygienic and fully supplied.
- Emptying bins and removing rubbish from designated areas.
- Following specific cleaning schedules and checklists to maintain a high standard throughout the school.
- Adhering to all school safety protocols and reporting any maintenance issues or hazards.
Qualifications and Requirements
To ensure the safety of the school environment, you must meet these essential criteria:
- A valid Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check) is mandatory.
- A current driver’s licence and reliable personal transport are required.
- Proven previous cleaning experience, preferably in a school, commercial, or large facility setting.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work effectively without constant supervision.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
