GDI Services is hiring Light Duty Cleaners across Canada for day or night shifts — full-time or part-time, based on your availability. As a Light Duty Cleaner, you’ll play an important role in creating clean, healthy, and welcoming spaces for our clients. You will be responsible for general cleaning tasks in a variety of environments, ensuring every area meets GDI’s quality standards. - Weekdays: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM (Monday–Friday)
- Weekends: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM (Saturday–Sunday)

Key Responsibilities
As a Light Duty Cleaner at GDI, your duties will include:
Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Sweep, mop, buff, and maintain hard surface floors and stairwells
- Vacuum carpeted areas and mats in office and common spaces
- Spot-clean carpets and shampoo rugs as required
- Clean and disinfect washrooms and kitchenettes (toilets, sinks, fixtures, counters, appliances)
- Replenish consumables: soap, toilet paper, paper towels, sanitizer
- Empty and replace liners in garbage and recycling bins
- Transport waste to designated collection points
- Clean elevators, spot-clean walls, doors, and handles
- Perform high dusting and wall washing
- Report any defects or hazards such as clogged toilets or faulty lights
Equipment Handling:
- Use manual and powered cleaning tools (e.g., vacuums, auto scrubbers, buffers)
- Perform basic maintenance on cleaning equipment
Teamwork and Safety:
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company guidelines
- Attend required training and onboarding sessions
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure high-quality service
- Maintain professional, respectful communication on-site
Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Requirements:
- Able to work independently and take direction well
- Reliable and punctual, with access to reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and takes pride in a job well done
- Physically fit and able to meet the demands of cleaning work
- Comfortable working during night shifts and/or weekends
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Able to pass a Criminal Record Check
Preferred (But Not Required):
- Experience using auto scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience in a commercial setting
- WHMIS certification or safety training is a plus
