Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Lead Arborist, you’ll be an essential part of a team passionate about delivering high-quality tree care.
- Perform tree-related operations including pruning, shaping, removals, reductions, and general tree care.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed to the highest standard, with a strong focus on safety for the public, your team, and yourself.
- Operate equipment and tools safely and effectively, following all company procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily goals and deliver remarkable results across the region.
- Represent Green by Nature professionally, as your work will be highly visible to the community.
Qualifications and Experience
We’re looking for a qualified Arborist with a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and physical fitness.
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum NZ Level 4 Certificate in Arboriculture.
- Full driver’s licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle (Class 2 is even better).
- A strong commitment to workplace safety—the work is highly visible to the public, so keeping things safe for them, your team, and yourself is vital.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- A good level of physical fitness and a willingness to get stuck in.
- In accordance with our drug and alcohol policy, successful applicants will be required to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug test.
Preferred (But Not Essential):
- Class 2 driver’s licence.
- Experience working in a similar role within public spaces or parks maintenance.
