Location & Work Type
- Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada – a growing city known for its strong industrial base and beautiful river valley.
- Job type: Full-time
- Shifts: Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts; Friday, 8-hour shift
- Schedules: Monday to Friday, with possible overtime and weekend work
- Salary type: Hourly
Key Responsibilities
- Help keep the construction site clean and safe
- Move and carry tools, equipment, and materials
- Support heavy equipment operators and tradespeople
- Follow all safety rules and report any hazards
- Help build or take down work areas like scaffolding or barriers
- Use hand and power tools for basic tasks
- Load and unload delivery trucks
- Listen carefully and follow instructions from supervisors
- Work well with others to get the job done right
Requirements
- Must-Have Skills
- At least 3 years of experience as a skilled labourer on a civil or industrial construction site
- Valid Class 5 Canadian driver’s license
- Recent Driver’s Abstract (within the last 30 days)
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol test and a fitness test to lift 50 lbs
- Comfortable working flexible hours, including possible weekends and night shifts
- Willing to follow safety rules and work as part of a team
- Preferred Skills
- Forklift certification is a bonus
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Able to read simple instructions and follow directions
- A positive attitude and good communication skills
- Training may be available for some equipment or safety tasks
