Key Responsibilities

As a Delivery Agent, you will manage the complete process of getting mail from our depot to our customers. Your key duties will include:

  • Starting your day at the depot by sorting and preparing mail and parcels for delivery on your assigned route.
  • Safely loading and operating a Canada Post postal vehicle.
  • Spending the majority of your day outdoors, delivering mail and packages to homes and businesses either on foot or by vehicle, in all weather conditions.
  • Providing friendly and professional service as the face of Canada Post in the community.
  • Returning to the depot at the end of your shift to unload any incoming mail collected for processing.

Qualifications

We are looking for reliable, physically fit individuals who meet these essential requirements:

  •  A valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record for the past 3 years (a driver’s abstract will be required).
  • The capability to regularly lift items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) throughout the day.
  • Must be available for on-call work and able to perform duties outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions.
  •  The ability to read, write, and speak English or French (Either/OR) is essential.
  •  Prior customer service experience or delivery-driving work is beneficial but not mandatory.
